Applications are invited online only through “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” scheme from qualified
candidates for appointment in the under mentioned post in Kerala Government Service. Before applying for
the post the candidates should register as per One Time Registration through the official website of Kerala
Public Service Commission.Candidates who have already registered can apply through their profile.
1. Department : Legal Metrology
2. Name of Post : Inspector of Legal Metrology
3. Scale of pay : ₹ 43400-91200/-
4. Number of vacancies : 2 (Two)
The above vacancies are now in existence.The Ranked list published by the Commission in response
to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year provided that the said list
will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of
one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said
list against the above mentioned vacancies and also against the vacancies that may be reported to the
Commission during the period of currency of the list.
5. Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment
6. Age Limit : 18-36. Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2004
(both dates included) are eligible to apply.Candidates from Other
Backward Communities, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are
eligible for usual age relaxation.The concessions in upper age limit are
subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall in no case
exceed 50(Fifty) years.(For other conditions regarding age relaxations,
please see para (2) of Part II General Conditions of the Gazette
notification).
7. Qualifications : 1)
Graduation in Science with Physics as one of the subjects
conferred/recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala.
or
B Tech awarded/recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala.
or
Diploma in Engineering after undergoing a regular course of study of
three years with three years professional experience in Central or
State Government service or in Public Sector Undertaking or
Registered Private Sector Undertaking after acquiring the basic
qualification prescribed for the post, in the field of Engineering in
which the candidate has earned the Diploma. Experience in the
department of Legal Metrology shall be considered equivalent to
professional experience.
2) Must be able to speak, read and write Malayalam.
